Who makes a a good one? Opinions on them? Was thinking of mounting by BUIS (Magpul Pros) on them. I am running a PA 1-6 24. Thanks.
Why not just run 45 offset Buis? KAC, Magpul, etc?
That is an option.
I’ll bet… Why would you run extra parts when offset irons are available??
Just collecting info. Really wondering how the guys that run offsets like them.
I’d definitely go with dedicated 45 degree BUIS. I’ve got the KAC 45 degree BUIS (newer “clamp” style that takes up a little less space) and they are awesome. I replaced the front 45 degree KAC clamp version with the MLOK version and it’s extremely low profile. They make the front in keymod as well, so you have options depending on the rail you use. No point in running extra equipment at the cost of extra weight when there are already better options. You could sell your current BUIS and probably be damn near even money wise towards your new set. I paid $180 for my KAC’s from a member used but in brand new condition. I’ve not used the Magpul version, but I’d bet the quality is great as well.

Rogue. Great post. I was intending to run a red dot and bought these Magpul Pros. I’ve since decided to run a maginified scope and find it a little wierd to render the rear sight useless. I might just sell them (they are brand new) and run the offsets. At least I can have the option to use them being offset. Decisions…
