Awesome. I was just thinking about ordering some kydex for my 1911’s. This makes it a no brainer.
How much longer does it really take to do a MD cut on a standard Phantom?
This is not meant to sound harsh, but your statement proves you do not understand our manufacturing processes.
If you compared two handmade holsters (one Standard, one MD) and timed the same maker to create them, the answer is little, if any difference.
The issue is, we are not producing the Quick Ship holsters in the same method as the other items. We have invested in tooling, machinery, and manpower to specialize on our most popular models. Those models are listed on the Quick-Ship banner above. We have doubled the size of that list in less than two months time, and will continue to add to it as we can.
The quality of these Quick-Ship items have not been reduced. In fact, by specializing certain machines and people on only making one product, it could be argued the quality has increased.
Our production methods have been streamlined for the models listed, allowing us to produce them faster and ship them to our customers sooner than our other items. This has nothing to do with the “cut” of the specific item, and everything to do with which models we have specialized our production on.
We are cutting lead times all across the board, have introduced a number of new products, and have more products and ideas on the back burner that will be moving forward shortly. We didn’t exclude MD Cut holsters in an attempt to spite our customers who prefer that style, we’re just simply moving forward with the most efficient production methods we have available to us.
We have been a victim of our own success in regards to the number of SKU’s that we offer. It seems each time we make progress on Model A, owners of Model B are up in arms that we have not increased production on their particular needs. As a growing business, we would never NOT update something when we had the means to do so in an attempt to make Model B owners wait longer without cause. That is simply poor business.
MD Cut models will come in due time. As soon as they’re ready, you’ll see an update here on M4C.

Awesome. Thanks for the clarification Tom.
