For those of us who like the the old hog leg in 45 Long Colt (or are in occupied states) I found a post where someone shot the CCI 250gr Gold dot load in to gelatin.
Now granted it was a sample of 1, in uncalibrated gelatin, but I’m glad to see someone shoot this load into something other than wet newspaper. Bravo for Speer in making this bullet for those shooting a grand old cartridge giving them a modern bullet design for an old platform (Single Action Army). - Looks like it’s safe to shoot in the old colts not just the big Rugers as well.
