3x Red Dot plus 3x Tripler?

Is putting a 3x red dot like a Burris AR-223 (I know about the lousy reviews) and a 3x tripler together functional?

I’m wondering how I can utilize something like a red dot with 3 power magnification for the majority of my shooting but wonder if adding a tripler for longer distances is even viable.

Sorry in advance for the dumb question - overwhelmed trying to decide what the best options are for me with the ton of possibilities there are out there.

it is the same concept as the aimpoint and 3X magnifier setup. It will work, but you have to remember what makes an aimpoint so good is the parallax free design. Most cheaper red dot sights are not parallax free.
