I love my DPMS 308 rifle. For the money you can not beat it. I know everybody blows their load over all the “higher end” companies but unless you are going into combat there is no reason that the DPMS couldn’t fit your needs.
For range/ target shooting and a little hunting they are wonderful.
For me, a brand means nothing, it’s how the rifle performs in the end.
What I like about mine is that it is nearly identical in size to my 6920, and almost as light. Unlike the majority of .308 AR pattern carbines out there with their full length rails and all the tacticool garbage.
But by all means if you prefer to blow 2 grand on a rifle go for it, stimulate the economy.
I don’t have any problem with any brands. I wont have a problem getting a DPMS either. Just don’t know much about em. And no I don’t have the 2k for another rifle. Too busy building more ARs.
There’s nothing wrong with DPMS…it gets the job done. But between DPMS and Armalite I would go with the Armalite.
JD machine tech makes some really nice ones i bought two of their upper and lowers. they are a dpms pattern with forward assist. i would highly reccomend them
Been looking around too. I cannot vouch for any of these, but maybe someone can.
