I thought the hot powder for 208 out of a .308 was RL17. Is Varget similar? I can’t emagine anyone is running those 208s at normal 2.7" COL.
Reloader powders have way too much temp swing for my liking. Varget runs the 208’s just fine.

Thats (thunder valley) not too far from where l shoot at, l live in s.ohio. Its supposed to be 60 degrees thurs, if it doesnt rain lm going to shoot.

BTW… the new magpul vid has them shooting a 18" OBR 308 175gr black hills at 1 mile…
but also, they say that 20" is best, even in a 300win and 338

not bad… ive been shooting 1k to 1 mile for a few years now, but still some good pointers in the vids,
I went a couple days ago (not to thunder valley) but to my family’s cabin, which is not to far from thunder valley. Call me a dumbass but with all the worrying l did over which bullet l forgot to bring a scope capable of much past 1200yds on my 308.
It ended up getting too windy anyway l could barely hit a man sized target at 1000ish yds.
