hi all. i know that the 300blk barrels are either carbine or pistol length. i have this bcm upper:
and it is set up the way i like with the longer handguard/rail and i like the longer sight radius. is there a barrel in 300blk that will work in my current upper keeping the fsb in the same place but using a low profile gas block for the carbine length barrel? not looking to buy a complete upper yet or switching handguard/rail from midlength to carbine. thanks.
nice barrel but a little more than i want to spend. it also is a stainless barrel, i prefer a black barrel.
Do a search for some of the current 300 BLK threads. In one of them, rsilvers explains that the 300 BLK does not work with a middy gas system. It needs to be a carbine length system
Couldn’t you shave the FSB and put another FSB (if that’s what kind of front sight you want) up around the point where the mid-length gas port would be, and would be?
Thus, a longer handguard and the same sight radius as an actual mid-length?
