Now that the 300 blk has been out a while, can you guys recommend a upper that won’t be a problem child?
A search would probably turn up a good bit of info, but to answer your questions, if I were looking at full uppers, I’d check out Noveske, AAC (probably not anymore due to the CS issues they’ve had recently), or DD. I ended up piecing an upper together myself. I believe Sionics is about to release a 300blk (not sure about just uppers), and I know BCM is also nearing a 300 blk release. Had I not built my own, I’d probably wait for the BCM.
The AAC was what I was wondering about,it used to be the go to.
I guess ill wait and see what DD and bcm are coming out with in the future. I was wondering what people are useing and having good luck with these days.
what length upper?
It’s for my cousin,i would say 16 inch, but iam sure he would be open to any suggestions.
Honestly, without a 16" reference point, I can"t say. For SBRs, I would still tend toward AAC for most, KAC would be next, Noveske could be a third.

He also buys good stuff so I’m just going to tell him to treat it like buying a new 5.56 upper.
My AAC has been GTG.
Built my own- Aero Precision 8" 300 blk barrel and 7" FFHG- comes just to the threads on the barrel- and the AAC FH
I’ve had 2 AAC uppers (16" and 9"). Both were perfect… my next will be a BCM KMR.
AAC uppers are almost always on sale for a little over 800 bucks now.
Where? I could not find one so I built one and it cost more.
Midway had them for 859.00. They appear to be out of stock at the moment though.
My DSG Arms 10" runs like a top. Great deal at $400 with adjustable gas block.
I have a radical firearms 10.5" upper with a BCM charging handle and WMD BCG and it runs flawless. And the price is fantastic.
Runnerrunnerguns.com also makes some good uppers for the price with a lot of options.

Plus one for the radical arms 10.5. I had a noveske that ran well too but enjoyed shooting the RA more. No problems
Got the 10.5" .300 Blk from RA and I’m thoroughly impressed. Can’t beat their price and the quality is really good.
KAC, although my home built Noveske barreled/ BCM BCG /A5 home brewed gun works great.
I’m another happy DSG upper owner. Quality upper at a great price. Mine also runs like a champ with any ammo I feed it. Now I need a can for it.
