Ok, LMT says endof summer for the 16" barrels, being tested now.
Ammunition-I only see Midway has the 220’s, no ball which has a bullet redesign. Who else actually has it and any updates on other manufactures?
Please no dated pics of a bunch on a pallet–

Hornady 300 Whisper ammo is also approved for use in the 300BLK. Midway has that in stock as well. Unfortunately, I haven’t shot either yet, so I can’t comment on their performance.
cheaper than Midway-although that’s not a suprise-
Interested in hunting ammo, I understand they are working on it.

For now, the Hornady 300 Whisper® 110gr is a great option.

The 125gr AccuTip is supposed to be the next out from Remington.
https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=85938
We have the Premiere Match 125 grain at AAC now, but under 100,000 rounds - which I don’t see as enough to sell. We need that just for testing.
Later this month we will have enough to sell.
Also, the 125 grain AccuTip will be out soon. We have that also - just not enough to sell.
Both of those are not inexpensive. The low-cost ammo is the UMC, and that won’t be out before October.
Then after that, the Core-Lokt will come out.
Then after that, a bonded military round.
The UMC will not be scarce - the forecast production numbers are astronomical. It now has higher priority than 223.
Production needs to be at a rate to support the equipment that will be available so people aren’t turned off.
I hope to see more soon, of course I need the MRP barrel first.

Rsilver could you confirm or shoot down that statement. Are the rounds identical or would the Whisper round screw everything up?
Oh, it will be - we are planning for about 20-25 times more production than 6.8 SPC.
I can confirm that Hornady has made their brass to be within specs for 300 AAC BLACKOUT, and that they have tested it in 300 AAC BLACKOUT barrels.

Thank you
Of course, the 6.8 Rem step child
Look to see a bunch of it to feed the kids!
Dealers can order the 125 Premiere Match now by calling AAC, minimum quantity is a case of 200 rounds. Shipping Aug 19th.

I need to get a job testing guns for a living.
Thanks for the update. I really want to shoot a deer with a .300 this new season.

Mark,
Any news or time frame from LMT regarding the release of an SBR .300 MRP barrel?
Cheers
How about at the same time planning 20-25 times more production for 6.8 SPC too?
Will the .300 AAC range ammo be closer to 223 or 6.8 spec in price? I ask because I really wanted a 6.8, but the ammo prices killed it for me. Now I would like to get one of the .300 uppers but not so if It’s going to be cost prohibitive.
Thanks
Last time the low cost 300 BLK ammo was for sale one dealer sold it for about $11 a box.
I don’t expect that to go up.
6.8 ammo is available and generally not out of stock often, so it seems enough is being made.
