3" Flash Hider for Ruger 10/22

I miscalculated the length of a stock and now if I assemble my rifle it will be 25.25". That’s with an extended A2 flash hider. So I am short .75". I cannot make the stock longer. The extended A2 I am using is 2.30", so I am looking for a 3" flash hider to have a non-nfa build.

My search for ‘3" flash hider’ brings up plenty of results for ‘3 prong flash hider’, but nothing for 3".

Anyone know who makes such an item?

This is going on a 22. I don’t mind if it’s a standard A2 pattern or something different, but I don’t want anything stupid like those vanity dragon head things…

BE Meyers, available at Weapon Outfitters.

It is only 2.75 long.

Why can’t you lengthen the stock? What kind of Frankengun are you building?? Put up a picture.

Noveske kx5?

He’s probably trying to cheat the system with some type of 26.5" OAL thing.

What are you building, Bluto? With a 10.5 inch barrel, standard A2 birdcage and pistol RE, an AR pistol is 26 inches long.

If it’s a pistol, there is no minimum length requirement.

Are you short because you’re using a folding RE on a rifle?

Not a Frankengun and if I was trying to cheat the system I would have just left it as it is. It’s a Ruger 10/22 with a very nice Walnut wooden stock handmade for me by my brother-in-law in Germany. I guess I screwed up the calculations and had him make it a too short. So, I cannot modify the stock and I don’t want to add a buttpad to it. The barrel is a Volquartsen that cost me an arm and a leg. It’s threaded, but the intention was for a suppressor. When I realized how off I was on the length, I went to plan B, which is the flash hider. If I REALLY have to, I’ll replace the barrel, but at $450 I’m not that inclined to take a loss.

I will post some pictures this weekend (unassembled, of course…)

edit to add: Yes, I am aware this is M4C and I am asking about a 10/22. Please cut me some slack…

So you posted it in the incorrect area and then left out information and expect an educated response, got it.

Is it a bullpup design? Or does it simply have a really short length of pull? The S&W MP15 has a long flash suppressor. I don’t know what your thread pitch is but I can dig up the flash suppressor from my 308 M&P-10 and send it to you. I’ll never use it again. It’s really long- and weighs about 4 oz. You could get an adapter made. Or get an adapter made that will extend the length of your A2 birdcage
