This will be my second EBR, had to sell the first last year for reasons beyond my control. This will, however, be my first time piecing a rifle together. Today was like X-Mas in July for me.
I am in the process of putting together a BCM Mid-Length Rifle. Bravo Co makes the parts but does not sell complete rifles and I thought it would be kinda neat to have a complete BCM rifle since I was gonna get a mid-length upper from them anyways.
The Big Brown Truck just dropped by with my Mid-Length Upper and Charging Handle, and I got a free BCM hat with my order which was a nice touch. Then I went to my FFL to pick up my complete BCM lower which arrived today as well. Then when I got home the mags I bought off a member of another board had arrived. I have some hand guards en route, but still need a BCG and rear sight. Tracking down a BCM F/A BCG is one hell of a task right now, lol. For the time being my intentions are a KISS rifle but with good quality parts, eventually it will get a face lift as funds allow. I plan on adding a BFG VCAS sling, BCM/Troy rear sight, and BCM F/A BCG to complete the build for now. Not sure on whether I’m gonna go Black, or FDE/Foliage green on this build. That will depend on what color UBR stock I can get down the road, but black for now.
I am very impressed and pleased with the fit and finish of the upper and the lower. All of the magazines go in and drop out of the lower with 0 issues and the fit between both is very good. The lower is slightly lighter than the upper, but the upper came drenched in oil. So a CLP bath on the lower receiver should match both up pretty well. And the Magpul MOE trigger guard that came installed looks good and fits great on the lower receiver. Can’t wait until this build is done. Also, I got a second hat with my lower.

Gallery of Guns in Jax , FL just posted today on ARFCOM that they have some in stock as well. Might want to try them if Grant is out and you need/want one.
im in a real pinch trying to figure out weather i want a BCM, LMT, or a Noveske. I think that the BCM would be the most affordable route but, idk.
To be honest im sorta partial to Noveske because i think the roll mark is really cool lookin and i like the M249 chrome lined barrel. the roll mark thing is sorta stupid though, i need to get past that.
Got my BCG on the way, just need to get a rear sight and it will be up and running in a KISS configuration. But as funds allow it will have many changes to it.
I don’t mind the BCM, good company, great products, and I wanted a mid length, so I just went with their lower to have a complete rifle instead of a frankengun.
Nothing wrong with either Noveske or LMT. I just happened to fall across the BCM parts when I had the cash in hand and was looking. Got lucky I guess.
Debating between the Omega’s or a Larue FF rail. Not sure yet. They’re both priced about the same so it’s up in the Air. That won’t be for a while though.
Just got my regular plastic hand guards in today, so almost there. Just need the bolt to come in, and I need to order a rear sight, and then I at least have a shootable rifle.
BCM BCG and rear Troy/BCM logo BUIS arrived today along with a 3rd BCM hat. Weather is crappy so I’ll post up more pics tomorrow, but it’s nice to have the first stage of this build done.
I’m inspired, your m4 rocks bro! Looks like what I wnat to build. I’m of the mind to build a middy BCM. I just have to sell some stuff (mini-14)to fund it. I’m going to try to order an upper before they sell out. I may put it on a Mega lower, not sure yet though.
