2nd build - 14.5 lightweightish Noveske rifle

I decided to build a 2nd AR with a shorter barrel and aim to be as light as possible w/o going for an SBR (can’t own one in CA). This will be the rifle I’ll take to carbine classes.

I finally found a Geissele MK4 handguard which should arrive next week then assemble it

Christmas. I love packages

Geissele MK4 arrived so next post will be the rifle assembled. My 13.5" NSR is roughly 2oz lighter than the Mk4 but the MK4 rail is very nice nonetheless.

looking forward on the complete build!

And it’s done! It’s .5 lbs lighter than my 16" Noveske rifle with NSR hand guard.

With it’s current setup w/o mag it weighs 6.7lbs (weighed with my food scale :o)

Nice build plus clean and clear photos = Great post. I really like the parts you put into this, that’s a sweet rifle. Get that thing outta cali and have some fun with it.

Great components for a nice rifle.

That’s pretty darn light. My BCM has a similar configuration 14.5" lightweight barrel, CTR, except Centurion C4 rails and EOTech XPS. It comes in at over 7 lbs. :frowning:

Agree with the others, excellent parts selection and the weight is still light…beautiful AR!

I think I just messed myself.

Very pretty.

Clean ass rifle bub

That’s looks great.
Nice choice in parts on this build.

Sent from the Bayou Custom Sheaths workbench.

Great carbine you have there advan! As a fellow member from CA, I was wondering your plan/method for (I’m assuming this is a bullet buttoned) mag changes during a carbine course. UBBT? Stub on gloves? Or just out of state?

And what light and sling do you have planned for that beauty?

How do you take pictures like that?

I tried the finger stub from Riflegear but I didn’t really like it. I may have to make a glove with a stub.

It has SF M300B with a pressure switch. VCAS for a sling.

white seamless paper, 2 flashes (L & R) and a point and shoot camera.

Nice build…
Are you happy with the way it handles?

Very much so with the limited time shooting it at the range to zero. I plan on running it in a carbine class next month.

Its beautiful, the G Rail in Sand sets it off.

wow! I need to Build another one Now…THanks!
