2nd Amendment vote to bear arms by USA Today

I got this in a e-mail today and wondered if anyone else has seen this, or has it been around for a while.

http://www.usatoday.com/news/quickquestion/2007/november/popup5895.htm

Obama’s new Attorney General has already said this is one of his major issues.
This takes literally 2 clicks to complete. Please vote on this gun issue question with USA Today. It will only take a few seconds of your time… Then pass the link on to all the pro gun folks you know. This upcoming year will become critical for gun owners with the Supreme Court accepting the District of Columbia case against the right for individuals to bear arms.

Here’s what you need to do:

First - vote on this one.

Second - launch it to other folks and have THEM vote - then we will see if the results get published.

The Question is:
“Does the Second Amendment give individuals the right to bear arms?”

Vote at link above and PLEASE vote Yes!

Bad link.

There’s a link in there?

Gramps, fix the link, so that we can protect our 2nd. Amendment rights.

Gramps took a nap and spaced to check it before posting. Its fixed and tested. Try again.

Sweet, 97% yes. The link worked for me.

But, but, but…
That’s been up for like 2 years.
Probably 8-10 of those 3,145,539 "Yes"es are mine.

Link fixed. Done, thanks.

Yah I just hit 3145546. Must noy care how many times you vote.

97%
thanks for the link.

We’re still running at 97%.

In keeping with the spirit of things I voted yes even though we all know (at least I hope we all know) that the correct answer is no.

The Constitution gives rights only to the federal government. It does, however, prohibit corrupt and malfeasant governments from interfering with our God given rights to free speech, self defense, etc.

The pole is around two years old and has been at 97% since I first saw it. I think someone at USA today get’s a good laugh in the morning when he comes to work and sees how many people have voted over night.
