I think iam just about done, if the chamber gauge i got in from brownells today was .223 instead of .222 i would be in great shape.

Maybe once a month I buy 1,000 of whoever has the cheapest Hornady 55gr FMJ’s. And unless I’m buying match grade bullets, this is the only 55gr FMJ bullet I will buy. My usual dealers are MidwayUSA (currently on sale), Widener’s, and PowderValley.
I’m nearly to the point where I don’t see a lot of point in loading anything but 77gr SMK’s. I buy them in lots of 500 when I can find them on sale and they just work well.
I’ve purchased from Cabelas - MidSouth - Midway - Weidners - Grafs - PowderValley and a few others I am sure.
Regarding the Widener’s 6000 deal, is there any reason to choose the SP’s over the FMJs for range use? They are $10 difference.
If you feel like trying lead, take a look at Bayou Bullets. They are coated lead, and produce very little smoke/leading. The owner is Donnie Miculek, Jerry’s brother. Great guy to deal with.

Same here. My 55 gr bullets gather dust for the most part. I’ll occasionally load up a few hundred for blasting away. Or sometimes I load them for buddies. But all our guns are zeroed with 77s, so it’s easiest to shoot all heavy bullets if possible.
