Has anyone seen, these before? Or used one? Basically uses the ak platform than adapts them to use ar15 mags.

I think those guys have been building AR mag adapters for Galils for a while.

I paid for one last Sept and still have not received one.

However, I did just talk to the owner and my order should be, “done soon”. Something happened, I don’t know what, and he wasn’t in production for many months. I made an angry post on the Saiga-12 forums and that’s when the owner contacted me.

Early reports were very good but you have to open your magwell quite a bit. I have a buddy with a milling machine so it’ll be a non-issue if and when I actually receiver an adapter.

The Galil adapters (origina IMI or not) are at an incorrect angle to use reliably in a regular .223 AK. The front lug has to be moved downward about 1mm.

are you talking about using the Galil adapter in a 223 AK or in a Galil?

Crap… I thought this adapter was drop in. With no mods. Well I guess Ill just buy circle 10 mags from kvar.

you got my hopes up…if this had been an adapter that allowed use of AR mags in an SLR-106 I’d have bought one tonight…

There’s a guy over at www.akfiles.com under the saiga/vepr discussion heading says he makes a similar adapter & it WILL fit an slr-106.
