22 conversion kit questions...

Hi,

I’m thinking about trying something like one of the 22LR CMMG conversion kits.

Do you just change the bolt/mag and that is all?

Do these kits wear any rifle parts in a non normal way? I sure don’t want to mess up my rifle by running a conversion in it…

Yep, just remove the bolt and carrier, and put the conversion unit in. (Get the stainless model)

I use one in a M&P and haven’t had any problems. Just make sure you put some type of spray lube (not a lot though) on the conversion unit prior to shooting.
