2008 Vickers Tactical (South Hill, Virginia) Tentative Class List.

This is a tentative list of the classes Vickers Tactical will be holding in South Hill, Virginia for 2008. Nothing is set in stone as of yet and we are working on dates. I will post up more when everything is agreed upon and finalized.

South Hill, Virginia:
2-day Pistol I Class
3-day Advanced Pistol/Carbine
2-day AK
2-day 1911 Handgun Class
2-day Subgun/Pistol Caliber Carbine

Marietta, Ohio:

  • Hackathorn/Vickers Low Light Intensive 3-Day Carbine & Pistol Course

*Classes may be added or dropped depending on student interest.

Just thought a few guys might like an early heads up.

Depending upon dates I’m interested in Pistol I, Advanced Pistol/Carbine and 1911.

Any chance of an advanced pistol?

Mike

Looks like I’ll be trying to make the Pistol 1, Advanced Pistol/Carbine, and the pistol caliber carbine classes

Hello Mike.

Sure, if enough guys are interested and that might be a good idea.

That being said, I consider any VT class to be an “Advanced/ Advanced Marksmanship Class” because that’s what you’re being taught. Only the student requirements and expectations are different depending on it being a level I, II (Intermediate) or III (Advanced) class.

I’ve never taken a class or shot with Larry & Dave when they did not expect neat little holes in the “X” ring or at the least “in the black”. Even if a student could not do it initially he then receives the one-on-one time to help him reach those expectations.

Larry wants the Level I class to bring more guys up to speed for the more advanced class we will be holding.

Yeah, but will any of these classes teach you how to FIGHT?!

J/K, sorry, couldn’t resist…

:stuck_out_tongue:

My last visit to Crewe/South Hill worked out well. Dave is a good guy, Larry did a great job, and I saw family I don’t see often. Please keep me in mind.

Thanks,
Ron Flowers

I would like to be put on the list for the next low light pistol/ar15 class, since the next one was shortly shifted to a later date and I could not attend :frowning:

I am interested in attending the 1911 hand gun class.

Thanks for posting the list. I’m very interested in the Pistol I and Advanced Pistol/Carbine.

Jeff,

You’d like the classes Larry teaches. They are right up your alley.

I’m interested in the following:

South Hill, Virginia:
2-day Pistol I Class
3-day Advanced Pistol/Carbine
2-day AK (definitely)
2-day 1911 Handgun Class
2-day Subgun/Pistol Caliber Carbine (already said it in the other thread)

Marietta, Ohio:

  • Hackathorn/Vickers Low Light Intensive 3-Day Carbine & Pistol Course
    (especially interested in this one)

I’m already signed up for 2 classes in Texas: 3 Day Pistol and 3 Day Pistol/Carbine

Decided it was time to get off of my butt and get some REAL training/instruction, instead of fooling myself into thinking my monthly IDPA/USPSA was “enough.”

Depending on the schedule I would like to make it to at least one class.

I need to get my hind end to the Pistol I class.

Interested in the 1911 and subgun class.

Any idea on dates? I am interested in the 3 day pistol/carbine.

I’m interested in the 1911 class and the pistol class if I can A. afford it  and B. work out the schedule.

I’d definitly like too make it too at least one of those classes. Any chance of the intensive low light course being held in virginia?

I’m thinking Pistol I & Advanced Pistol/Carbine.

I doubt it, at least not in 2008. That class is a special deal between Ken/Larry and will most likely stay in Marietta. The intensive low light class also uses a shoot house which we do not have in South Hill.

That being said other classes have a 3-5 hour low light shooting section. The 3-day advanced pistol/carbine class will have this for sure. It’s a quick & dirty version of the more involved full-blown low light class Ken/Larry teach together. Everybody I’ve talked to loves this section of the class. It usually includes a Crimson Trace laser grip demo as well.

Hello Colonel, nice to see you on M4C.

No dates yet, but it should not be much longer.

  • I will call you this week.
