We just received our 2008 S&W price sheets and it has some new M&P models in it along with new pricing on their mags. Here is are some of the things we will see new from S&W this year.

Compact 45 with and without a thumb safety.

Mid-size (4" slide) 45 with and without a thumb safety.

5" 9mm M&P

M&P Mag prices will most likely drop down to the $22-$25 dollar range!

I still want one the size of a Glock 19 in 9/.40.

That 45 will be the compact size or just a little shorter to have the 9mm slide styling up front?

No eta on any of the new weapons. I also don’t know what will fit in what holsters.

The compact 45 and the mid sized 45 both have 4" slides. The compact 45 will just have a shorter grip I think.

I am out of the office by 5 EST (usually) so it is hard to me to call past that time (sorry).

I hope you’re correct on the magazine pricing. I had a friend that’s in the magazine (and other accessory) business advise that MecGar (the OEM for Smith, Sig and Beretta) was doing a 15% hike the end of January. That wouldn’t bode well for S&W prices coming down at all, unless they’ve been seriously overcharging for them all along.

There are some other things of interest in the price sheet that I missed.

S&W has some new AR’s coming out. Here are some specs:

14.5" NFA registered models in all models (15, 15A, 15T)
M&P 15OR (Optics Ready)
M&P 15X (comes with a Troy 7.0 and a Troy Rear)

Hopefully the 14 rnd 45 mags will be one of the first things they are introducing this year.

One of the Smith guys told me they were coming out with some SBRs this year, but didnt mention size. I’ll pass on a 14.5" and go with a Noveske 12.5" instead
