I have a NFA trust and would like to pay for the $200 tax stamp out of my personal checking account. Problem is, my old (out of state) address is on the check.
Any idea if ATF will accept a check with the old address marked out and the new address written in?
ATF will not even see the check. Bank of America gets the check in Atlanta and cashes it for the ATF. Send it and don’t worry about it. All they care about is that they get their money…
same deal here, wasn’t a different state, but it was 3 addresses back and i haven’t lived there in > 8 years. Still have checks and they still work, so it was cashed and is going through just fine (as far as i know)
