By the way, I’m feeding it from 20 round Lancer L5 AWM’s, A+ rating so far. Takes a smack to seat a full one on a closed bolt, but I think that’ll change as time goes on.
Just weighed it, 7lbs 8oz with an empty magazine. What does 20 rounds of 5.56 weigh?
I’ve got 40 rounds through it, so far. I’m in love :dirol: :):dance3:
I like the the clean looks of the MI rail. Goes well with the 20". Nice build overall!
The 20" I am building is a plain Jane for CMP matches and testing handloads with a scope. Pretty much going with a carry handle for irons at CMP matches and a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40 for the handload testing and just long range plinking fun. Thought about getting a more powerful scope just for targets, but I want to keep it somewhat practical for field use in case I get a chance to hunt coyotes or other varmints.
Thanks for the comments. Down the road, I might have Adco chop this to 18" and flute it in the name of light weight.
This already has me thinking about my next build. I’m definitely going with a 16" or a 14.5". If I go 14.5" I’ll be registering the lower as an SBR, for the sake of simplicity, as down the road I might want a suppressor, flash hider, etc. instead of the planned FSC556.
God you guys are going to spend a lot of my money fast…
Looks good, I’d been playing with building a 20" M16A4 clone, but now that I have orders to Germany and can’t really take any guns there, that plan has been put on hold.
