I just bought a 2 point sling from Redi-mag. It’s the Boonie Packer quick adjust sling. I’ve decided I like using it in ‘patrol carry’ with the sling over the weak shoulder. I’ve never used a sling before so I’m open to suggestions on how to mount it and use it. Is there a better way to attach it with the MOE stock?
This is how I have it currently (not trimmed yet).

To switch from strong to weak side you simply pull the strap back from the front attachment to the weak shoulder.
And no skinny comments… I’ve been sick for a week and I always shrivel up when I get sick
Is it comfortable and secure for you? I think it is what works well for you. I was using QD mounts because I thought they would work well for me. I stopped because I did not like the way the slig hung and spun! What works for your body type would not necessarily work for mine.
My sling is threaded through the rear hole in my CTR stock and the front of the sling is attached to the forward portion of the rail with a blue force sling attachment, no more QD’s. I had a 3 point Mamba for years; I liked the way it hung. I did not like the way the sling was all over the side of my receiver. I tried a single point sling after the Mamba and could not stand the way the weapon bounced around. I bought a Troy two point sling and switched recently to a blue force padded sling. The blue force is great, its lower profile and works better for me. The Troy is on my spare gun now.
The UWL would work for you. You could also use a Colt M4 sling mount mount it is a standard sling loop turned sideways on the gas port/front sight post. They are both sturdy!
