It’s a european fad that happened to make its way over here on imported rifles for the simple reason that their rifle smiths seemed incapable of making a safe yet light and reliable trigger. The fact that CZ continues to use them doesn’t make them the best, or even second best option. A 2-stage would be a much better choice.

I believe some of the finest european dangerous game rifles use double set triggers - the african plains hunters must feel pretty good about using them for, oh, 100 years.
I have 7 CZ 452’s with beautiful single stage triggers that can be adjusted any way you like or up-graded very inexpensively to match grade. The 3 Weihrauch Air Rifles I have use german “Rekord” single stage triggers & they are just about perfect in every way. Gotta say though that the SSA-E on my LMT seduces me every time I hold it. I’m happy as a clam with ALL my different triggers & so I adjust myself to each gun & it’s intended purpose & don’t fret too much.

well said, nice collection of czs ya got there, i only have ultra lux/fs/custom shadow/vz58 from cz usa, all great firearms
