I am perusing my Brownells catalogue as well as the Springfield Custom Shop work order listings. What I am looking for in terms of sights is a dovetail front w/ tritium and a white circle and a Y-B Retro rear sight. The rear has a .140" notch - what should be the proper width of the front sight? I am looking for a setup that lends itself to better target engagement. Any suggestions?
I would start with extra tall front sight then file to POA = POI
Look at XS front sights, the standard dot model with the white circle…that’ll work with the Yost retro rear sight.
