Thank you for the link. It is amazing to see the interworking of the 1911. John M Browning was a genius in my book.

Very nice, but the timing of the accelerating bullet vs slide+barrel recoil is wrong. The slide recoils only about 0.1" at the moment the bullet exits the barrel.
