Does anyone know someone who has experience in building a 80% 1911 frame (possibly if this person located in norther Kali)?
I’m looking to buy an 1911 80% frame.
There were a few floating around in the late 80s- early 90s that were casted. The two government copies I saw had porosity/pinholes. If I recall correctly the plunger tube holes, sear and hammer pin holes and area where the MSH is inserted needed to be machined. Can’t recall but the disco and 3jector holes m8ght have needed machining also. The manufacturer has gone outta business since, like the early 90s.
Being from a free state I wouldn’t mess with it. I’d scrounge up a springfield milspec or colt government model and go to work.
