Do you know of someone who can pin a flash hider on a barrel? I actually need to send the barrel nut of my rail system and have the it installed before welding the fh?
Thanks in advance.

Hey buddy… ADCO is the place to go and they’ll do it all for you.
ADCO is the most common provider of this service and everything I’ve read in regards to their work has been positive. In regards to your second sentence I’m not sure if you are asking a question or making a statement. They do assemble uppers in-house so you may want to give them a call and explain to them what you need done, I’m sure they’re willing to work with you.

ETA: Looks like jonconsiglio beat me to it, I guess that’s what happens when you leave the room for 15 minutes in the middle of a reply!
That’s funny… Last night I did the same thing in that Firearm Control Device thread. I had missed where he said the next person to get the thread back on track gets a free unit because I hadn’t refreshed it in about 10 minutes. I had a PM asking where I’d like it sent.
Jon, you are everywhere :thank_you2:
something to remember and you kind of already stated it, or asked it, not sure…but when you go to have a FH permently attached, make sure not the barrel nut AND gas block are already on the barrel…because there is a chance a barrel night might fit over it, depending on what FH and nut…it is easy enough to check. there is a good chance the gas block will not, so if the nut does and the gas block does not…things could get ugly.
Another recommendation for ADCO. They have done a few pin & weld jobs for me over the past few years. I have been very pleased with their work. I wouldn’t waste your time trying to call them unless they have recently started answering the phone. If you are not sure how it all needs to be assembled, just send it all to them and have them assemble it for you. Just place your order thru their website and send it in as directed: http://www.adcofirearms.com/shopservices/
+1 for ADCO, they will even do AAC, and Surefire FH/ suppressor mounts, which are appearently harder than hell to drill. and they do a damn fine job too
Yet another question. I will send my barrel, DD 16" middy to have it cut and pinned fh, I want to do the upper disassembly and re-assembly myself. When I get the barrel back do I have to remove the pin from the gas block in order to pin the gas tube or can I start the tube from the receiver end and then slide into the block without having to remove the block?
You should be able to slide the gas tube in from the hole in the upper like normal and just push it in a little farther than normal and then finaggle it into the gas block.
Thanks all!
