Looking at getting a 11" SS barrel for my SBR. I have read and heard that I should just stay with a chrome lined barrel. Could someone please tell me why? I have heard a lot of good things about SS barrels.
Any help you guys could provide would be great.

11"? or 11.5" Who were you looking to get this barrel from? Someone like Noveske and it will be a damn fine barrel and as accurate as many 16" chrome lined barrels possibly. But if it’s a run of the mill SS barrel without a tight enough twist it may be horrible.

I guess if I wanted an accurate barrel that short I would look into Noveske- I think they make 12" barrels.
I have an 11.5" SS Noveske barrel, with KAC flip front sight.
By an large most SBR shooters will be served with a Chrome Lined barrel.
I have a 10.5" Noveske stainless barrel which has proved to be very accurate.
