11.5 CQB build

How much value do you guys put in a reviews? I looked into the reviews of TNTE sales out of Wisconsin. Very hit and miss. But unfortunately most the reviews seemed negative. Another one of my concerns about TNTE sales is the price. I just completed a cart tor a total up to $330. This was for the Roscoe heavy barrel, correct front sight base for my stripped upper, front site post, sling swivel, and delta ring assembly. I couldn’t get myself to hit the purchase button. I don’t know if the Front sling swivel was the side mount or the one attached directly to the bottom of the front sight base. Either way I’m probably gonna go back to the Colt barrel and do the work myself.

Edited to add:

Yeah, the front sling swivel is the same thing that I’ve got downstairs in the basement. I’ve got four of them. Adding the side mount sling for an extra $41 and then calculate the shipping at $30 would make the whole thing $360 shipped after taxes. That seems like too much money.

I’ve been eyeing their 12.5 mid length chrome lined barrel with FSB for $241. I don’t know much about this company and was hoping they are legit.

ETA:

I just did a review search and it doesn’t look too good for them.

Reviews were bad enough and the price was too high. This morning I spent Colt level $$$ on a Colt 11.5 HB assembly instead of the uncertain product from uncertain vendor. Hope the wife agrees….

I have no experience with the company in question. Just making some general observations.

When I see quality reviews that vary wildly from “great” to “very disappointing” that raises a red flag. If reviews also indicate that lead times and availability are also wildly unpredictable that is another red flag. Poor or very inconsistent customer service is a “third strike”.

Good video on barrel and projectile choices. Basically states an 11.5 with bonded bullets is the optimal setup out to 200m.

I remember that video. Nice to see it again.
