I’ve already got a mid length URX upper on the way…
Would it make sense to order an 11.5 BCM upper (less handguards) and have someone shave down the FSB?
Is it better to just get the parts then assemble?
Any ideas or considerations that I need to consider? This is my first SBR build so any comments would be appreciated.
Now all I need is someone who has the URX wrench in VA!!
shaving down the fsb is pretty easy if your handy with a dremel.if your urx is the newer model i believe it is milled out some to accept certain lo pro gas blocks if you don’t want to shave down the fsb.i like having a gas block pinned so i shaved mine to fit.congrats on your first sbr build, you picked a nice combo upper/rail to start with,it balances and handles great.
good luck in your quest for a urx wrench

I should have the KAC URX and KAC URX upper/rail vise block early next week. DAMN that stuff ain’t cheap.
Awesome Robb! That was quick! I have two URX projects to work on… An SPR and once the Form 1 is done an SBR!
I’m thinking the FSB shave is the way to go… It is the newer URX so there should be room for a lo pro. What is a good quality low pro gas block?
