11.5 and M41000

Hey guys, does anyone know if running my m41000 on a 11.5 upper is going to hurt my can? I will not be running hundreds of rounds through it at a time, just a couple mags here and there. Thanks.

I have a 1000 and a 10.5 upper. I’ve put a few K downrange with no ill results.

I run an M41000 on my 11.5" BCM without any issues whatsoever

Thanks guys. I figured it would be ok.

Define “okay”.

The M4-1000 will get significant erosion through the core on an SBR. The better choice would have been the M4-2000. The SS baffles on the M41K will show signs of erosion in a little as 2K rounds on a short barrel weapon. You won’t notice sound degradation at this point but over time your suppressor will become less effective.

So, you can shoot that M41K on your short barrel gun with no problems. Just understand the suppressor will wear out faster than something designed to better withstand the high temperatures seen in SBRs.

Mark

Shorter barrel will wear it out faster than a longer barrel.

the 11.5" will have a longer life than on a 10.5".

Sounds like you’re not shooting full auto or even high round counts- you should have no problems at all.
