I am torn between doing a 10.5 or a 12.5 and am looking for some guidance. I understand that there is roughly a 130fps diff in the two, but how does that equate in effective distance the 6.8 will expand.
Also any great difference in muzzle blast/flash using comperable brakes/flash hiders?

I’d look at the 10.5" if you will be shooting it mainly suppressed, and want to keep the OAL down.
If not the 12.5" doesn’t feel much longer but has less blast and better velocity.
I am run a A-1 and the flash is ok .
Todd.K has given a great answer. I prefer the 12" version for unsuppressed shooting and only go with the 10" if you need a short OAL with a suppressor.
Thanks for the info guys, but I ended up not doing an sbr and went with a 16" ARP upper. Heres to improved ballistics in the ar15 platform!
