10.5" listed as the barrel length for my SBR. Can I go shorter?

I listed 10.5" as the barrel length on my SBR forms. I would like to change to a 10.3" barrel. Permanently. I know I need to send in a form to the ATF to change the barrel length. Just wondering if going to the shorter barrel is an option.

You should be good to go. Just need to notify the ATF of permanent changes as you said.
