1.5 power optic and a fixed FSB.

I received my TA44 today and am in love with it.

Has anyone found the fixed FSB to be a distraction when using their carbines? I obviously haven’’ had any range time on it but I wanted other opinions.

No as I just ignore it and focus on the task at hand.

What kind of Mount are you using ?

Even with a 1-4x at 1x and with the FSB in the middle of the scope, it’s fine. As long as you’re looking at the target, you’re not paying attention to the FSB.

It could be distracting, but for most it isn’t.

I ran a 1.5x Compact ACOG for quite some time and while I thought the FSB would be distracting before I got out on the range, I never noticed it in actual use.

Thanks guys. I kind of figured that would be the case but thought it didn’t hurt to ask.

Mount is a Larue mount.

The Army issues M4’s with fixed FSB’s. We use all kinds of ACOG’s and Aimpoints and the FSB has never been an issue.

3 and 4 power optics are not an issue for me. The front sight almost disappears. However with the 1.5 it is much more visible and I have having trouble adjusting to it over my 0 power optic I had on there before.

I have been playing with it all weekend and think it should not be an issue.

I have a TA44-5 as well on my carbine…
the FSB wont be an issues if you focus on the target (not the reticle) and aim with both eyes open
(I’m using a ADM mount btw)
