Vanguard’s outgoing CEO Tim Buckley was the last to work with John Bogle, founder of Vanguard Group, before he died in 2019. Buckley was anti Bitcoin.

Most recently, Ramji headed up BlackRock’s iShares and index investments, where he oversaw considerable growth. Vanguard, in announcing Ramji’s appointment, emphasized his efforts to roll out low-cost investment products.

“His contributions led to expanded investment access for tens of millions of investors, a more central role for [exchange-traded funds] in retirement and wealth portfolios and a more efficient bond market with ETFs as an enabling technology,” Vanguard said. “At BlackRock, he led the implementation of a voting choice platform, which democratizes client access to the proxy voting process.”

When I see the mention of easier access and “democratizing” my BS meter starts to peg.



I know a little about traditional investing but usually just keep my nest egg in the typical Vanguard target date fund as the “easy button” thinking they’re the best at it. Now I’m concerned the direction Vanguard will head is ESG like BlackRock. I may have to look at taking a more active role in investing or at least look at other target date funds.

Vanguard is already on the bandwagon, as are Fidelity and State Street. All this does is further expose how the Big Four Who Own The World are coordinating efforts to act as a government-unto-themselves.
