***UPDATE***
Swapped out the H2 buffer for an H like I planned to and ran 40rds of MK318 through it. Fired it 5rds at a time so I could check lockback.
All 40 fired and cycled with no problems (had been failing to cycle about 1/2 the time with that ammo and an H2 buffer).
First 5rd mag locked back. Mag #2 and #3 failed to lock back but otherwise functioned fine. Mags 4-8 locked back just fine.
The reason I use MK318 as my "litmus" test is that it is the first 1K rounds of SHTF ammo I have bagged and ready to grab. MK318 is not the only "premium" fodder that I have (by any stretch) but all my AR's zeroed thus far have been accomplished with that load. Can't get it anymore either.
