N.J. police officers now required to be POST certified under new law

    https://www.police1.com/police-train...5qJG4Pc5efzY0/

Police officers in New Jersey already undergo a host of training — both from their own departments and outside agencies — but previously departments followed a patchwork of local and state standards. The law applies to current law enforcement officers, who will be subject to new standards from the Police Training Commission, as well as newly hired officers.

So their retirement goes further when they eventually carry it down to the Carolinas in a carpetbag.

Georgia established POST in 1970 for all peace officers.

Don't have to be psychic to see where this is going.

They would also be prohibited from joining groups that advocate for “the violent overthrow of the government or for discrimination” against protected classes under the state’s anti-discrimination laws.

This surprises me that they just now started it. I believe Arkansas did this in 1975 or so. However we still don’t require any certs or training to run for Sheriff.
