Watching the YouTube videos of the guys getting their Pythons back and they are all stating that there is an additional punch mark on the frame signifying that it has the new spring in it. I hate to be the bearer of the bad news.... my gun had these marks before going back to Colt and my serial number is way lower than theirs. The marks look to me like marring from a jig that held it. I would post a picture if I could. But these marks do not look intentional in any way to me.

Found a 1963 Blued Python serial # 25xxx at my LGS yesterday. Didn’t ask to see it out of the case since the store was packed and there was a long line. I went shooting in the range so I didn’t have time to wait afterwards. They were asking $1799 for it. Looked to be in excellent condition. Not sure if it has a box or paperwork. How is that as far as pricing goes?
I paid the same for my 1981 that had some holster wear on it.

Colt Python
I am not the best placed since I live in Switzerland, but $ 1800 for a 1963 excellent condition Python ?? I would have left the store with it.

Believe me if I could I would. After dropping $1900 on the 1981 in very good condition I got (has some blueing wear) I couldn’t swing it.

Hope all is doing well.
The Snake came back today. Looks like a new barrel, new trigger, new grips. No explanation of work performed. With these fetching stupid money on gun broker, I am trying to decide if I double my money or shoot the 1500 rounds that have been awaiting its return....
