What is a best practice way to mark screwheads, to indicate loosening?

I just use a paint pen sharpie. Nothing fancy, never had a problem. if the mark fades, hit it again..

I prefer silver, as it's more low key, but I see a lot of people use red.

Some people will also use nail polish.

I use a super duper Screw Marker 5000 patent pending. PM me for details. It only costs $50 a bottle.

Paint pen, generally from Wally-World.
Art supply stores have thinner ones that last a little longer, but I'm not sure they are really worth it.
I use blue or white. I just see them well and they don't look out of place.

Wow! Mine cost $75.00 a bottle but came with a 'high speed low drag' custom applicator and a cammo bottle bag.

The 5000 works great for marking KNS pins too!

(to MAKE DAMNED SURE they really DO NOT rotate!)

Unfortunately for you the only place I've actually seen the Screw Marker 5000 for sale is LWRC:p

Now that I've pretty much finalized my latest build I'm going to go through it and loctite and mark anything that could possibly come loose.

I went to the art supply store the other day and they had Sharpie paint pens in fine, medium and large that are all oil based and another in their super special cabinet that is acrillic. I'm thinking the fine sharpie would work just fine, but wanted to get a second opinion here. Is that what you guys are using or the medium? Would the acrillic last longer? I don't know much about paint pens :haha:

I like Tiger Marker. It's the same thing as other products, but it has an animal name in front of it, obviously better, and I heard Chris Costa and Larry Vickers huff it.
