Anybody know who makes 7.62x39 AR15 complete pistol that is reliable. I don’t want to build one. I have been reading about reliability issues with 7.62x39 in ar’s.

If you are looking for a range toy, the Windham Weaponry has been 100% reliable with the ASC mags. I keep mine well lubed tho. Not sure what the prices are now, but i bought mine for less them 500 brand new.

Don’t forget about the mags.

I have used both ASC and C Products (CPD) mags and they have been reliable.

+1 on Windham Weaponry. I think the primary issue with 7.62x39 AR-15's has historically been related to feed issues caused by poor magazines and failures to fire caused by hard primers and/or too weak hammer springs. I used D&H and RZE Unimags in my two 7.62x39 AR-15's and they're 100%. In fact, they run 100% when I put the uppers on my M16A1 lower half (as do the D&H mags). The RZE Unimags are on sale right now for $20 each. That's a killer deal. Not only do they work well with multiple cartridges, they have the same exterior shape as regular 5.56x45 magazines.
