View Full Version : Colt Delta Magazines?
Does anyone know of an alternative to the factory Colt Delta 10mm magazines? Wilson, Novak, etc.? Or is it best to stick with the factory mags...Thanks, Wally
Check-Mate Industries makes 2 magazines for 10mm 1911s. See www.checkmateindustries.com

Care to post some photos? Does it fit flush or stick out on the bottom?
My DE runs 100% with McCormick 9 round 10mm mags.
Not able to post a pic right now.
They would be flush, if not for the slampads (which I prefer, even on carry guns).

I have several Mecgar magazines at home that work very well.
They are pretty inexpensive too and Mecgar has a very good reputation.
I have a Custom Delta built by the late Brian Bibly. It runs Perrrrrfectly on Wilson 47D's and the new Tactical Elite mags. And I get 9rnds in them. The Wilson 10rounders do Not work at all.
From the Enos Forum products page:
For 40S&W/10mm: The feed lips on the "Tactical Series" 45 mag works perfectly with 40 S&W/10mm. Although Wilson does not advertise this mag to work with 40/10mm, I do - in case you prefer the "Tactical Series" mag improvements over the 47NX 40/10mm mag.
I also just got some of the Elite 9mm mags and they are beautifully made.

I used Tripp and 47Ds.
Good luck
Are you talking about the regular 47D's? I did not realize they would handle the 10mm's... Wally
Yes, the one and only (outside of a nudie bar:p) Wilson 47D's. They feed silky smooth in my delta with perfect reliability. The new Elite mags are the same and are beautifully made.
I used to poo poo on the Wilson mags (before I owned any:o) .... I thought that they were NOT worth what they asked for them. Well, years ago I aquired a Bilby built 45 from a guy in Hawaii and for the selling price it came with 10 Wilson mags. After trying them I have not bought any other brand of 1911 mag. They just work. I broke a tab off a 10 rounder and Wilson just sent me a new one w/o even returning the old one.
