My opinions on Yeager are, well, not great...but I do understand his frustrations.

I agree, Styre. If the King goes by edict and does something incredibly stupid, things will most certainly get rowdy. Glad I live in TN if it comes to pass. I don't think it will. I have been more political active in the past four weeks than I have been in my considerable young life, and I am seeing the push back on the whole gun control hyperbole. Tiss why i think Obama is throwing around the EO because nothing will get done.

I know the Sandy hook shooting has been the flashpoint of this, but it seems Obama is really going after guns more than taxing and eating the rich. What has changed?

Yeager has quite a following, achieved by riding a certain schtick. I agree with a lot of what he said politically and doctrine wise but the schtick does annoy me (I don't need to be talked to like I'm a WWF fan.)

He's a responsible adult with a hot wife and a successful business doing something we all love... I'm pretty sure he thought this through and figures he's somewhat of a leader in this "community." He probably figures speaking to his fan base is worth getting put higher on the list (he's pretty high already.)I'm also pretty sure that people were saying "don't dump that tea in the harbor, they'll label us as terrorists."

I pulled the video simply because someone with class informed me he is a family man, no matter how I feel about him, I'm not going to be an asshole and do something that could jeopardize a happy home. I had people call me liberal scum, which I thought was funny, but in the end I wish him no harm and certainly wouldn't want his family to suffer. Something liberal scum wouldn't care about.

So I apologize to those that didn't get a chance to see the epic rant, TOS has it posted though.

As I seem to recall, we did have a "civl war" in this country before. Fought on very similar issues actually, excluding slavery, of course. Sectionalism.. states's rights.. a Federal government becoming to powerful, meddling in people's lives...

Of course, the Confederate States had an advantage by actually being united in cause with actual state levels... 11 of them in fact. The war wasn't fought between the U.S. Military and a bunch of random vigilantes..

No state, (maybe except Texas ) is every going to "secede" from the U.S. again. So any "civil war" fought in the name of gun rights would be nothing but individual vigilantes, and thus wouldn't end well. 21st century people aren't exactly going to die for that kind of cause. We live in an age of wishful solidarity and stability.

Any "civil war" in America would either end with a) crushing of the rebellion, or b) crushing of the rebellion. Then, after a civil war for the SECOND time, the government would just get even larger and more powerful....

I'm just being realistic...

I'll go ahead and close this one since the OP removed the video. It is out there to see but posting it here is probably not the best idea. I think the mindset here at M4C is different than that being expressed in the video.
