sounds like if i murdered someone with a firearm I can legally dispose of such evidence AND get money for it
Hi Point turn in? for $50 sounds like a deal to me.
They will action the firearms to pay for better equipment for the dept.
Plus if they are stupid enuf to turn them in they dont need them. I would be the first one offering $50 more per gun in the parking lot.
Asheville, where? I have a bunch of Lorcin, Jennings, Ravens, Brycos, etc, as well as some rusted hulks one could conceivably call "functional."

I'd expect break-ins to rise. before the buy back to actualy start so the rats steal guns to turn in. just a thought of mine here where I live earler in the year there was a bunch of break in just stealing gun safes, the theives were leaving computers, TVs, and Money laying around

If someone wants to get rid of firearms they no longer want that's fine.I have no problem with that at all.I don't think ANY kind of Law Enforcement should buy them and not check them. That is letting some citizens get rid of what they don't want.Which is fine. While it lets some of criminals go free. And that is not fine.Who knows what the firearms have been used for.It just bugs me to think that 1 of them might have been used to rape someones wife or kill someones kid. That's all.sorry.
Knowing Asheville, I'm not surprised.
Probably give ya a free tree to hug too.
