    Would they offer it with smooth sides? I don't like all the cosmetic flash and the raised lines. Why not just smooth everything out and cut the weight? Whats the deal with the think trigger guard as well? Those with small hands, did you have a hard time hitting the bolt release on the right hand side? I found it kinda high and forward. I guess it's a design thing to make it ambi. I had to break my master hand grip to hit the right hand side bolt release.

    Right, from what I understand, it will work with any trigger.

    adding cutouts to smooth sides is cutting weight.

    I guess I'm just nit picking. It seems they just left the parts I marked red, so it flows with how the pmags look.

    And I guess I was asking too much for the right hand bolt release to be much like the BAD Lever where I don't break my master hand grip. I find the mag release/bolt hold open is very innovative! No stress even on my small hands.

    Uppers = DPMS
    Mags = KAC SR25 platform mags meaning you can use the $20 Magpul LR-20 mags.

    Robb was kind enough to point me to the AXTS lower at SHOT. I was very impressed. The ambi controls are well thought out. The 5.56 and 7.62 lowers are set up exactly the same. Josh allowed me to shoot some pics. Enjoy.

    to add to this - the 7.62 lower is designed to take the SR 25 pattern mags and the prototypes at the show mated up to DPMS uppers. they most likely will only be available in matched billet sets and may end up being with the SR25-type upper/lower interface (slanted back on upper).

    Awesome pictures! Is there a release date for the billet lower yet?
