    Redback One Shooting Standards

I will be putting together a course of fire that I will post on all electronic social media sources for our students to practice either for your own professional development or for training purposes to get yourself ready for the next RB1 course.

These standards will include drills that will reflect the competencies gained during build up training from RB1's series of professional development courses.

This course of fire be considered 'the standard' and serve as a 'Go/No Go' criteria for attending advanced training with RB1. Stand by for more details!

That'd be great Jason specially one each for Carbine, Pistol and perhaps even a Carbine/Pistol course. Something to practice and also minimum standards. Very thoughtful and accommodating of you.

Also, it all goes towards getting maximum quality training time with proper preparations (environmental and range conditions permitting). Like Jason mentioned in another post for a Carbine course:

Make sure you have good ammo and plenty of lube on the working parts to keep that gun going!

Check ALL of your accoutrements on your guns. Anything that has a QD lever, check for fit and anything that has a screw thread attachment, make sure it's finger tight then tighten it 1/4 turn with a screw driver.

Batteries! Make sure you have spares for anything that takes them.

Magazines! Do a 100% check on ALL of your mags and get rid of any that are suspect. Mag Test #1 - Fill it up and hit the bottom, see if any rounds spring out! If so, walk it to the trash can and deposit it!

I will be running full kit while on the range, that means armor, belt order and full combat uniform and gloves. I don't mind what my students train in, so feel free to bring your range rigs.

Based on his classes and Facebook posts, Jason mentions the RB1 Silhoutette Target which is basically an IDPA target. For these standards he adds a 7" circle for the pelvis zone. So, the scoring zones are 6" square head, 8" center mass circle and 6" pelvis square.

Nice adaptation of the Hackathorn and 10-8 drills. Covers the bases. Thanks for sharing and will give it a go.

I just shot it before starting work today. Not bad. I thought I'd do better but there was time where I was rushing shots and still have a bunch of time left over.
