Hi,
Yes, I've searched, and searched, and searched...
Long story short, I'm trying to mount a AA-powered flashlight on a rail.
So, I'm looking for a ring with an inside diameter of .75" or so.
I wouldn't mind going as large as .83" (intended for SureFire E1), but I don't want to use a 1" ring with a thick spacer.
My current AA-powered Fenix L2T is actually only .65" at it's narrowest point, and presumably most AA flashlights are going to be about the same .75" or so.
I like the idea of being able to remove the flashlight relatively easily, but it doesn't need to be "quick disconnect."
I don't really need (or want) an "offset" mount: just a simple scope ring would be perfect. I don't want to pay a fortune for this, either.
I'm looking for more options than what I've found already:
1. Larue:

Problem: I don't need the quick disconnect, it's taller than I would want, and I don't want to pay anything like $115...
2. Gear Sector:

Problem: I don't really need the offset, and it's still too expensive.
3. VeriForce:
http://www.veriforcetactical.com/tac...cessories/195/
Problem: I don't trust this. It looks cheap (not inexpensive: just cheap). Taking it off and putting it on would be a PITA.
4. Generic:
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=221373181
Problem: I don't know who makes this... It looks like a Leupold PRW, but Leupold doesn't make a .75" PRW. I have a question in to the seller...
Otherwise, this seems about perfect.
5. VLTOR:
http://www.vltorstore.com/products/Scout-Mount.html
It's .83" and not .75", but otherwise this looks about ideal: it costs less than my flashlight and barely more than the generic ring on GunBroker, the orientation is correct for me, it's low-profile, and it looks like the wing nut would make attachment/detachment easy.
Other ideas?
