You may notice that my XPS mounted on a backwards LT mount so keep the levers out of the way. Good thing the XPS is so short.

The front sign blocks a huge chunk of viewfield on any optic I put on this rfile, including full-sized Aimpoint on a tall mount. I am yet to see a single photo of anybody running an optic on SCAR with irons up.
Without the lower 1/3rd cowitness, it would be absolutely unusable.

Re KAC handstop as a sling attachment point: I've tried it on SCAR and AR, and on both such attachment laid the sling squarely over mag well during reloads, making them more difficult than they should be.
No problems with reloads. However, my main bitch about the current sling setup is that switching from strong side to support side is slightly slower (at least according to my shot clock) than running it all the way out. I think I'm gonna try running the stop as a stop first and go from there.

Yep, I saw that. My XPS is on a riser too. I ripped my thumb open against the lower edge of XPS anyway.

I can't see how one can mount an Eo on this rifle and not have interference, unless one takes extreme care of how to grip the handle, or mounts XPS on the rail all the way back.

I can't run irons up even with lower 1/3. With my tallest set-up - AP M4s on tall LaRue - the dot is squarely on the top part of FS hood.

SCAR absolutely, positively has to be run through a formal training/class to be sorted out ergonomically. It's just too different from AR.

Waiting to see an SBR'd civilian SCAR that works 100% before I get too excited about this weapon.

Some really nice pictures in this thread though.

I've played with the XPS's location as well, I have mine back to where the number 5 still shows on the rail and it works well for me. I know it's better to have it mounted much more forward but, just not happening on the scar. I also am not running a risor because I like my irons co-witnessed.
