Remington ACR A-TACS Camo pics

Enjoy.

That's a good looking camo pattern. I like the look of multicam more though

Is that a pattern the Army is testing to replace ArPat/AcuPat in the desert?

Thumbs up

Shall we call it The Van Gogh or The Monet?
It definately looks better than the ACU, but I'm with you VB, Multicam is the way to go.

It looks okay, better than the current ACU. Doesn't look as good as multicam though in my eyes...

ACU has always struck me as being a bizarre color and pattern altogether.

The ACU/ABU pattern is the biggest military unifrom mistake since the Army's idea tha giving a Beret to everyone will improve moral. The pattern IMHO does not excell anywhere.

And they still couldn't paint the barrel.

ACU is the uniform itself. The pattern is known as UCP (Universal Camouflage Pattern).

Is it just me, or is the pistol matching as well?

It definitely does match, but I can't tell what that pistol is. The magazine floor plates almost look like Glock, but the muzzle end doesn't. It has finger grooves too.

That doesn't look like any of the recent ACR's either. The newer ones all have some piece which I assume is for the barrel nut forward of the lower receiver. It also looks like the lower hand guard rail is integrated too, where as the recent ones show them being separate.

I'm digging that camo though.

Hmmm. AAC says this is the latest variant, so the one from a recent shoot above most be outdated. This one still uses the one piece rail system.

What do you mean one piece rail system? If you mean it doesn't come off( ala Scar), then i believe you maybe mistaken, Ive yet to read anything about it being integral, and Magpul said they were making the MOE type hand guard for it also.

Reminds me of the WWII German Paratrooper camo.

They should call the pattern 'Bokeh' after the out of focus camera phenomena. ACU always seemed so washed out to me, it looks like maybe 50 washes ago it might have been the right depth of color.

What is the story on 'digital' patterns. Was it just easier to get into a computer system or something. None of the ACU pattern is printed on demand, and it is a repeating pattern, correct, not trully random?

Just take nice pics out of focus of the worlds top five shit holes and use that as the pattern. Seems like you'd end up with something better than we have.

To me, the only place ACU camo hides people is if they stand in front of the racks at an Army/navy surplus store.

I was talking about the actual rails themselves, not the rail system. If you look at the pictures I posted, you can see that one variant uses an aluminum chassis to which rails are added to the hand guard, but the other has the rails made integral to the rail system. Both are supposed to be the latest revisions too, which is where my confusion comes from.

And regarding the pistol, supposedly no company owned by Cerberus currently produces a traditional handgun. I wonder if that's about to change???

Interesting camo pattern. I have kind of been interested in pencott lately myself.
