About time, but I applaud him for doing this.

With Texas "stand your ground" laws he never should have done a day in jail.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

I would agree with you, but as Austin is like an hour away, you cross out of a Red State and into a deep Blue City.
Californians came to Austin and turned Austin into California and they ruined it. As much entertainment as is available there, I really seldom if ever go.
A lot of people are leaving.

I saw this yesterday scrolling through Reddit. The Leftists were absolutely wailing. It was hilarious. They're all comparing this to government approved lynching, forgetting that this dude was defending himself against the mob.

Also interesting to see their reactions overwhelmingly included arming up. The next bout of "Summer of Love" is going to include a lot more gun fighting than the last go around.
It's f*****g great, putting holes in people, all the time, and it just puts 'em down mate, they drop like sacks of s**t when they go down with this.

I was a LEO in TX for 25 years. Austin is like Berkely CA now as far as politics go. It's always been it's own world. If TX had a rear-end, Austin would be the hole. It has a Soros installed DA, and the jury pool of your "peers" there will look like a circus. If the DA wants to charge you there for a 100% lawful shoot even in your home, they can find a Grand Jury to indict you. You will be tried. A jury of blue haired baristas, librarians, professional protesters and liberal arts professors (your peers) will string you up. Like with Trump in NYC, it doesn't matter if he did anything "illegal" or not. This kid was lynched.

Even without the pardon this soldier would have walked after numerous appeals, but he'd be broke and homeless by the time everything played out over 3-10 years.

Be careful out there y'all. It's a (D)ifferent set of rules in the legal system. If anyone does not see the (D)ouble standard, you could be next.

We are safe in our area for now. A soros DA being installed will trigger a move for us. Hopefully that does not happen. I will never live in a complete blue county. State politics aside, it's your local DA that is the first line of people that can really help you or railroad you. If you offered me ten million dollars, I still would not live in a solid blue county.

Wonder if the Feds will get involved a la Rodney King, where if they don't like the outcome they find some bullshit Federal "violated his civil rights" charge to throw at him.

Well, may have answered my own question:

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/federal-p...233532124.html

While DoJ hasn't done it yet, these commie AG's are urging them to file Federal charges. Let's see where this goes.....

If Abbott had balls, he's tell the Feds to pound sand, and actively prevent any attempt by them to detain Perry.

But we all know Abbot won't do that; he actively helped keep a Rino in Congress, after all.

Let the Texas Rangers keep an eye on him so the Feds don't disturb him. That would effectively block this BS at the start.
