Arms Unlimited seems to get the short-lived offerings that Colt doesn't sell elsewhere. I searched YouTube and found nothing about the M7. Even a regular internet search yields nothing more than speculation.

Do you know if this is another AU parts "assembly" or a real Colt product?

Arms Unlimited now has the 13" factory SBR's available.

I picked up my CM762-16S (aka M7). Here is a picture of it above my LE901-16SE.



The most obvious difference between the two is that the new CM762-16S has a separate upper receiver and handguard versus the monolithic upper receiver / handguard the LE901-16SE has. This is similar to the differences between the Colt LE694X and M5 rifle series. Though I certainly wouldn't call it light, the CM762-16S feels noticeably lighter than the LE901-16SE.

Are you able to grab a weight for the complete rifle?

I only have a floor scale that's designed for weighing people that goes to the even numbers at one decimal place. Without the ACOG and with the Magpul 10rd magazine, the scales indicates that the CM762-16S weighs 8.6Lbs and the LE901-16SE weighs 8.8Lbs. I feel like the difference is a bit more than that, but those are the numbers with what I have.
