Impractical for what? Shooting out to 100 yards? Well sure. Home defense? That 16" barrel really doesn't make much difference at living room distance. For me the 10.3 / 11.5 ARs finally got small enough and light enough and suppressors for them finally became effective enough to fill the role of the MP5 and similar SMGs.
I could do it with a 6920, but it's a little easier with a 6945/6933 without sacrificing much.
